Try VoicedByMe free for a day, then buy it once for one computer. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner said yes. Don't use it to fool or harm anyone.

Who you're dealing with

VoicedByMe ("we") makes this app. Contact: [email protected]. By installing or using VoicedByMe you agree to these terms.

Free trial

You can use the whole app free for one day (24 hours), counted from when it's first ready to speak on your computer. When the day is over, it stops making speech until you enter a license key. Your voices, library and history stay on your computer either way.

Your license

• When you buy VoicedByMe, you get a license key for one computer, for personal or business use. It's a one-time purchase: no subscription.
• Changing computers? Use Move to another computer in the app's Settings, then enter the key on the new one. If the old computer is gone, write to us and we'll free the key.
• Your purchase includes free updates for version one.
• You may not resell, rent or share your license key, or remove its license check.
• VoicedByMe includes open-source software, each under its own license (see THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in the app's folder). Nothing here limits your rights under those licenses.

Voices: the rules

VoicedByMe can make audio that sounds like a real person. That's why these rules matter, and why breaking them ends your license:

• Only voices you're allowed to use. Clone your own voice, or someone else's only with their clear permission. The app asks whose voice it is and keeps that record.
• No deception or harm. Don't use a voice to impersonate someone, commit fraud or scams, get past voice-based security, harass or threaten anyone, or mislead people about what someone said, including in elections or the news.
• Say it's AI where the law asks. If you publish or share audio that sounds like a real person, you are responsible for labelling it as AI-generated where the law requires, for example under the EU AI Act.
• Leave the AI markings in place. Don't remove or change information VoicedByMe adds to audio files to show they were AI-generated.
• Ready-made voices are designed voices, not real people. You can use them for anything lawful, including commercial work.

Your content

Your text, recordings, voices and the audio you create are yours. They stay on your computer, and we get no rights to them. You are responsible for having the right to use what you read aloud and the audio you publish.

Buying, and no refunds

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles payment, taxes and invoices. Prices are in US dollars (the checkout may show them in your currency), plus taxes where they apply, added at checkout.

Purchases are not refundable. That's what the free day is for: please make sure VoicedByMe works well on your computer before you buy. Your license key is delivered as soon as you pay. At checkout you also accept Dodo Payments' buyer terms, under which you ask for the key to be delivered at once. If you're in the EU or UK, that means you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once it's delivered.

If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or can't get your key to work and we can't fix it, write to us at [email protected] and we'll put it right. Nothing here takes away rights the law where you live gives you.

Updates and the internet

VoicedByMe works offline once its voice model is downloaded. It checks for updates unless you turn that off, and installs them only when you choose. When you connect an AI agent, VoicedByMe changes that agent's settings with your permission and keeps a backup.

No guarantees

We work to make VoicedByMe reliable, but it's provided as it is. Speech is generated by an AI model and can mispronounce or misread things; check audio before you rely on it. How fast it runs depends on your computer.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for VoicedByMe, or US$50 if you haven't paid. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

Ending

You can stop using VoicedByMe at any time. If you break these terms, especially the rules for voices, we may end your license.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, email customers first. Changes don't take away what you already bought.
